"Too often today, people are ready to tell us,
'this is not possible; that is not possible'.
I say, whatever the true interest of our country calls for, is always possible!"

- Enoch Powell.

More children will die because of cuts, says Sharon Shoesmith

More vulnerable children will die at their hands of their "desperate" parents as a result of funding cuts, disgraced former children's services boss Sharon Shoesmith warned today.
Ms Shoesmith, who lost her job after the Baby P tragedy, suggested that all the "good developments" in social care since then will be undone by a "dreadful" financial situation.
She issued the warning in her first national public speech since her dismissal in 2008.
She also told the North of England Education Conference in Blackpool that she was still struggling to live with the death of Peter Connelly more than three years after he died.
She told delegates: "All of these good developments we've had and now we've got this dreadful financial situation, this dreadful financial settlement.
"Child poverty will rise and I don't think there's any doubt about that. I think everyone now expects that these cuts are going to hit hard on vulnerable children.
"Yes, child poverty will rise, but if we stop measuring it how will we know? It all does translate into higher risk for children, the risk of more children dying at the hands of their desperate parents."
Ms Shoesmith cited the review into social care and the scrapping of many quangos - which she dubbed an "hallelujah moment" - as examples of positive changes.
Addressing Baby P's death directly at the start of her speech, Ms Shoesmith said: "I want to start by saying that the murder of Peter Connelly when I was director of children's services in Haringey is something I struggle to live with every day, as do the social workers who knew him. There was never any doubt about how sorry and distressed we were by his brutal murder."

Jack Straw's brother found guilty of indecent assault on girl, 16

The brother of the Home Secretary, Jack Straw, was convicted yesterday of indecently assaulting a friend's 16-year-old daughter after inviting himself to her house.
The brother of the Home Secretary, Jack Straw, was convicted yesterday of indecently assaulting a friend's 16-year-old daughter after inviting himself to her house.
William Straw, an Open University administrator, had pleaded not guilty at Nottingham magistrates' court to assaulting the girl in April when she was alone at her home in the city.
But after hearing evidence from the girl that Mr Straw asked to see her bedroom before rubbing his hands on her hips, the district judge, Peter Nuttall, found him guilty and fined him £750 plus £275 in court costs. Straw will be placed on the sex offenders register for five years.
The conviction is a further embarrassment to the Home Secretary who is overseeing a government crackdown on sex offenders. In December 1997, Jack Straw's son, also called William, was cautioned by police after he sold cannabis to an undercover reporter while aged 17. In July, the Home Secretary's chauffeur-driven car was stopped by Avon and Somerset police doing an alleged 103mph.
The court was told yesterday that Straw, 47, had bumped into the girl while she was out shopping on 19 April. He asked her to go to his home to see his new dog. The girl declined saying she had to do GCSE revision, but Straw later telephoned to repeat the offer before riding round to her home on his bike.
Straw, who has two children but is separated from his wife, then invited himself in, the girl told the court. She said: "I had not asked him to come in, I felt worried and nervous but I offered him a cup of tea because he is a friend of the family."
She said Straw started a conversation and at one point touched her stomach. He then asked to see her bedroom and sat on the bed, saying how soft it was. As they left the room, the teenager said Straw turned and put his hands on her hips.
She told the court: "He started rubbing my hips and staring at my breasts. I told him he was scaring me and he seemed to snap out of a trance." Straw apologised and left.
Giving evidence, Straw said he agreed with the majority of what the girl said had happened, but denied touching her. He said he had been feeling low and was reaching out to a friendly face.

Nick Griffin Oldham East & Saddleworth 8th Jan 2011

Nick Griffin talks about racist grooming - Oldham 08/01/2011

“Our Children are not Halal Meat” – Dramatic New Leaflet Launched

The British National Party today launched a dramatic new leaflet in the Oldham East and Saddleworth by-election campaign titled “Our Children are not Halal Meat.”
The leaflet, which was launched in Oldham city centre by a team of activists taking part in a public demonstration against Muslim paedophile grooming gangs, has been issued in support of the party’s campaign in the constituency.
“Nick Griffin has said it for years... now the media admit Muslim Paedophile Gangs can no longer be ignored,” the leaflet says.
Quoting the Times newspaper of 5 January this year, the leaflet says that the admission by that newspaper that police and social services have fuelled a “culture of silence” which has allowed hundreds of young white girls to be exploited by Muslim men for sex, has confirmed the accuracy of the British National Party’s policy position.
“It’s official. Muslim Paedophile Gangs are preying on vulnerable English girls in Oldham and other towns all over Lancashire and Yorkshire. “Thousands of girls have been ‘groomed’ - drugged, abused and gang-raped - and it’s happening right now,” the leaflet continues.
“We all know these disgusting crimes against children as young as 12 have been going on for years, and now The Times confirms that politicians, police chiefs and councils have ‘conspired’ to hush it all up.
“Politically Correct Labour, Conservative/Lib Dem and UKIP politicians have all agreed to say and do nothing rather than ‘offend’ the Muslim community or admit that the British National Party have been right all along - yet again.
“Young girls and their families in Oldham are sacrificed on the altar of Political Correctness. And when people complain they are fobbed off, or even accused of being ‘racist’.
“Now The Times has exposed just how widespread the problem is, it’s time to push the police and politicians to do something to put things right. “That’s why we know so many people like you will be voting for the British National Party and justice for grooming victims this Thursday.”
The leaflet also contains a special personal appeal from party leader Nick Griffin: “Imagine how you’d feel if your child had her life ruined by these perverts and the authorities still refused to lift a finger. That’s why I’m asking you to vote for Derek Adams this Thursday and help us get justice for the victims of Muslim grooming,” Mr Griffin says in the leaflet.
The reverse of the leaflet is equally hard hitting.  Titled ‘Who is to blame,” it points the finger at a number of establishment institutions.
“Labour, Conservative and Lib Dem Councillors know that Muslim Paedophile Gangs are active in Oldham. But they want the Muslim block vote, so rather than demanding action to stop these sick crimes, they support the giant ‘European Islamic Centre’ in Werneth that will turn our town into the Muslim capital of Lancashire. They all let these young girls down.
“Politically Correct police chiefs in Lancashire and West Yorkshire have ordered their officers to turn a blind eye to ‘grooming’ crimes.
“Labour and Conservative/Lib Dem MPs have all encouraged this police cowardice which ruins thousands of young lives. They all let these young girls down.
“National and local newspaper and media outlets have refused to tell people what the Muslim Paedophile Gangs are doing to young English girls.
“Papers like the Oldham Chronicle and The Metro have launched hate-filled attacks on the British National Party for campaigning for justice. They all let these young girls down.”
“The British National Party has been campaigning for years to get this scandal stopped. British National Party leader Nick Griffin has used his position as a North West MEP to press for action and now at least The Times has woken up and taken up our campaign.
“Now it’s out in the open, we can go on and make the police and local councils take action. But the career politicians will cover it up if we let them.
“We need a big British National Party vote this Thursday to keep up the pressure for justice for the innocent young victims of racist Muslim Paedophile Gangs.
“Nick Griffin and your local British National Party candidate Derek Adams are asking for your help. Not for them, but for the victims. If you don’t help, who will?”

Muslims grooming white girls for prostitution

When will Tories admit that Enoch was right?

I wanted to be shocked by the removal of Nigel Hastilow from his parliamentary candidacy for having said that Enoch Powell was right about immigration, but it was impossible.
One Tory MP, Bernard Jenkin, has already been removed from his position in the party simply for warning an Asian candidate that she might encounter racism.
Another, Patrick Mercer, was booted off the front bench for retailing the fact that some NCOs in our Armed Forces have racist attitudes towards black people.
We are inches away from anyone who admits to having read Noddy Goes To Toyland, or to having collected Robertson's jam golliwog badges as a child, being barred from the party. Just as we thought we had grown up on the issue of immigration, the Conservative Party proves the contrary is true. More of that later.
I am, in the first instance, genuinely outraged at the insult the Hastilow affair throws at the memory and reputation of Enoch Powell.

Powell was, quite simply, the most influential politician of the post-war period. He predicted the need for the monetarist policies now followed by Gordon Brown as long ago as 1958. He predicted the British people's irreconcilability to the EU as long ago as 1969. He predicted the destruction of the United Kingdom if devolution was allowed to happen as long ago as 1974.
Oh, and he foresaw correctly that there would be terrible tensions if immigration were allowed to carry on unchecked in that famous speech - called, by a phrase he never uttered, the "Rivers of Blood" speech - in April 1968. It is for reminding the public that what Powell predicted has come to pass that Mr Hastilow is now an ex-candidate.
The insult to Powell consists in this unsustainable idea that the Birmingham speech was "racist".
There is a long tradition in the party of not reading the speech. Heath, who sacked Powell as defence spokesman, certainly had not. Nor had the two close colleagues who urged him on, his chief whip, Willie Whitelaw, and the hysterical Quintin Hogg. Oddly enough, Powell did not use the word "race" in the speech at all (this often surprises people who are convinced it is an order to the masses to vilify black people for the sole reason that they happen to be black).
He did talk about areas being changed beyond recognition and without any consultation. He did talk about inevitable tensions arising from mass immigration. He did say that immigration would work if the immigrants could be integrated into existing social mechanisms, but warned that the numbers coming were so large that integration would be impossible. Quoting Virgil, he said that if this situation were not rectified there would be trouble: "As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding. Like the Roman, I seem to see the River Tiber foaming with much blood."
It was the sort of quotation he and Hogg used to swap at shadow cabinet meetings, during which Hogg could barely conceal his chagrin that Powell, a former professor of Greek, could always go one better. Certainly there is inflammatory language in the speech: it is Powell quoting his constituents.
The cloven hoof is shown early on, when Powell says a voter has warned him that "the black man will have the whip hand over the white man". Powell knew what he was doing. "I can already hear the chorus of execration. How dare I say such a horrible thing? How dare I stir up trouble and inflame feelings by repeating such a conversation? The answer is that I do not have the right not to do so."
There is the story of the little old lady, another constituent, whose daughter had written to Powell about her misery at living, suddenly, in the midst of an alien culture. "All I know," Powell concluded, "is that to see and not to speak would be the great betrayal."
The assault on him at the time was conducted on the basis of scaremongering. His population projections could not possibly be accurate, it was said. In fact, they understated the case. He was accused of blatant racism, even though he had merely been highlighting the danger of the racism of others.
This was a man who loved India and Indians so much that he reached interpreter standard in Urdu, and who in 1959 had made what by popular assent was one of the great speeches ever heard in the Commons, in which he attacked the government of which he was a supporter for the brutal treatment of Mau Mau detainees in Kenya. Powell was about as much of a racist as Mother Teresa of Calcutta, and his warnings in the Birmingham speech have proved grounded. So why is it such a crime for Mr Hastilow to pray him in aid? Could it be that neither the present leader of the party, nor the party chairman who sent Mr Hastilow packing, has read the speech?
I know lots of Tory MPs and peers in receipt of the Tory whip who believe Powell was right on immigration, who know he was no racist and who believe the party's greatest sin was not to take him seriously. Are they all to be sent to outer darkness, too? Will it also be a crime to point out that most of the rest of the ideology of Powellism - about money, about Europe, about the viability of the United Kingdom, about the dangers of an internationally unrestrained America - holds water just as much as this speech does?
Why is this man considered so evil that to mention him approvingly is a career-ending step, just as if someone had praised the social policies of Hitler or Pol Pot? Could it be that the jerk of the knee, and the application of no intelligence whatever, is really the driving force behind the way the Conservative Party is now run? How stupid are they?
Read the speech. Make up your own mind about whether something that told the truth then, and that tells the truth now, should 40 years later be the subject of such hysteria.
In a smug observation last week, the equality tsar Trevor Phillips congratulated David Cameron on "de-racialising" the immigration question. But who racialised it in the first place? It wasn't Powell. It was the Left, whose aim of destroying our nation state not least by destroying our culture was furthered by attacks on Powell for telling the unpalatable truth.
This surely leads us to what the Tories should say now about immigration. Instead of grandstanding attacks on the likes of Messrs Hastilow, Jenkin and Mercer, they should be turning on the people who have, by a conscious desire to allow unlimited immigration, ensured that Powell's prophecies have been fulfilled: the present Government.
We have 52 dead in attacks by Islamist fanatics in 2005 to prove how integration has failed, and what a disaster multiculturalism (now shunned by Mr Phillips) has been. Race should have no part in the immigration debate. But as Mr Cameron has realised, the numbers game should, and is at the heart of the problem.

VAT Increase: British People to Pay in Extra £13 Billion as Foreign Aid Budget Rises to £12.1 Billion

Hard-pressed British consumers will be forced to pay in an extra £13 billion as a result of the Value Added Tax (VAT) increase — an amount which barely covers the ConDem regime’s £12.1 billion foreign aid budget.
Tory chancellor George Osborne has claimed that the VAT increase is an attempt to pay off the £149 billion government deficit.
This is an obvious lie, because if Mr Osborne and his ConDem colleagues were in any way serious about bringing down the deficit, they would cut expenditure on items which serve no British interests, with foreign aid being high on that list.
Instead, foreign aid is “ring fenced” and actually increased, along with other outrageous wastes such as billions spent on subsidising the European Union, untold billions spent propping up the immigration and asylum racket and even more billions pumped into illegal and immoral foreign wars.
Raising the VAT level will also hamper economic growth in Britain, a fact which has been confirmed by a number of British business organisations.
According to figures published by the Centre for Retail Research and online shopping group Kelkoo, retail sales will fall by about £2.2 billion within the following three months year as a result of the VAT increase.
The British Retail Consortium (BRC) in turn announced that its research had indicated that the traditional January sales period had been greatly shortened and affected by the introduction of the VAT increase.
A BRC spokesman was quoted as saying that they expected to see “a very quiet period over the next few months" as transport, commodity prices, business rates and national insurance all start to rise as the taxpayers are called upon to try and salvage the disastrous effects of decades of Labour and Conservative mismanagement.
To make matters worse, economists at the Bank of England have private predicted that the VAT increase will further negatively impact upon the consumer prices index, which currently already stands at 3.3 percent, well above the Bank’s 2 percent target.
According to the economists’ predictions, the VAT increase is likely to push inflation to around 4 percent in the coming year, which will in turn hamper recovery efforts.
The contortions to which the ConDem regime and its Labour clones resort to try and “recover” from the economic disaster are as pathetic as they are stupid.
Getting the economy to recover can easily be achieved by simply cutting all unnecessary and wasteful expenditure (as listed above) and by rebuilding Britain’s manufacturing base to its former glory through protectionism against globalisation.

Make A Stand Against Muslim Paedophiles

Come over and join in me soft-touch Britain, says the Latvian who traveled 1,500miles and ended up squatting in a £6m mansion

With its ten bedrooms, marble bathrooms and modern high-spec kitchen it is a property fit for a top executive or celebrity.
But yesterday it was home to 30 Eastern Europeans who flocked 1,000 miles to London when they heard how Britain was such a soft touch for squatters.
The gang of immigrants are living for free in the £6million former home of an ITV boss in North London.

They left their home countries and moved in after friends told them the rights of squatters are so entrenched in the UK that it would be ‘almost impossible’ to force them out.
Many of the young foreigners, mainly from Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, broke through a window of the mansion on Boxing Day and have put up legal notices claiming it is their ‘right’ to stay.
They have plastered the property with posters threatening to prosecute anyone who enters without permission.
The ten-bedroom house in Highgate was owned until July last year by John Ormerod, 61, a director of several leading UK companies who also chairs the audit committee at ITV, and his wife Pamela, a magistrate.
The warning posters, on the door and windows, read: ‘Take notice. That we live in this property, it is our home and we intend to stay here.’
Once finely decorated, the house now resembles a refugee camp, with the 30 squatters, many of whom are jobless, littering the floors with rubbish and smoking drugs freely.
The gang, aged from 19 to 50, have been given a court order to leave by January 19, but they boast about their intentions to stay on – if they don’t upgrade to a bigger home nearby.

It was a Latvian calling himself ‘Jason Ruddick’ who first broke into the house. He had travelled to London because he had heard it was easy to live in mansions for free in the UK.
Some of the bedrooms have marble en suite bathrooms and Jason, who moved to the UK a year ago, has set up a makeshift office in one.
The jobless 21-year-old said: ‘I knew before I came that people live in squats and have legal protection.
‘Here we have heating and electricity all for free. The bills come in the post but they are addressed to the old owners. We don’t pay them.
‘There are four floors in the house. Ten bedrooms. There are three bathrooms with bathtubs and showers, a kitchen with all the cooking facilities, heating – and all the utilities are on. And there is a big garden with a swing. It’s really expensive to live in such a big house if you have to pay for it. But in the UK we get everything for free. Even food.
‘We always have a full fridge. We go to Iceland and get all the good food from the rubbish bins. It’s called “skipping”. We get sausage rolls, pies and beer from there. When one can is damaged they throw out the whole pack. It’s easy. I like it in Highgate. The area is nice. It is close to Hampstead Heath. If they make me leave I will find a bigger place in the area.’

One squatter, Zhypka, from Lithuania, said: ‘I have the most amazing, posh bathroom – en suite. I love it. Some of us have jobs but most of us are looking for work or on the dole.’ Another of the squatters boasted: ‘We’re moving into a bigger mansion soon!’
Before arriving at the mansion – which is a stone’s throw from millionaire bankers and celebrities such as George Michael and Sadie Frost – the squatters were living in The Bull, an empty pub in the area.
But after several months Jason decided to find somewhere new. After a brief walk down the road he came upon Mr Ormerod’s former home. The lights were off and a skip was in the drive so he climbed in through a window and called his friends.

Jason is from the Latvian capital of Riga, where he also did not work.
He said he chose to come to England because in other countries squatters are routinely arrested and hauled before the courts.
‘Here I can live in a big house for free,’ he said. ‘I was the first one here but I told all my friends about it. We tell everyone back home about it.’
Neighbours are furious. One, who asked not to be named, said: ‘I’m not happy about it.
‘They leave their rubbish on the street. I care because rats have come because of them.

Fake foreign students vanish into black market jobs and cost taxpayers £493 million a year

Bogus students from overseas are costing taxpayers up to £493million a year, a report claims.
The study by think-tank Migrationwatch says tens of thousands of foreign students are ‘disappearing underground’ to take jobs on the black market.
They are filling up to 32,000 posts which could be legally held by the 2.5million unemployed British workers, the report says.
Genuine students, but Migrationwatch says tens of thousands of foreign students are 'disappearing underground' to take jobs in the black market
Genuine students, but Migrationwatch says tens of thousands of foreign students are 'disappearing underground' to take jobs in the black market
It adds that the cost of paying unemployment and housing benefit to those who lose out to bogus students is as much as £471million a year.
And because the NHS does not carry out stringent checks on those needing emergency treatment, the study estimates the illegal workers cost a further £16million in health care. Educating their children is estimated at an additional £6million.
Migrationwatch chairman Sir Andrew Green called on the Government to clamp down on bogus students.
He said: ‘By working illegally they take a job that would otherwise be available for a British worker who remains unemployed.’
He added: ‘Such illegal workers also tend to hold down wages at the lower end and enable unscrupulous employers to compete unfairly with honest employers who offer decent wages and conditions.’

The BNP Forces The State To Act On Asian Paedophile Gangs!

You may recall an earlier post on this blog where I explained how Stoke BNP Branch and Telford BNP were working together to expose and highlight the rape of dozens of English girls in the Shropshire area. I'm pleased to report to you that our campaign is begining to impact, not just upon the long suffering English communities who welcome our campaign but also upon those responsible for delivering law and order to our people. Chief Inspector Alan Edwards of the West Mercia Police, the constabulary that covers Telford and Shropshire, has called for this issue (systematic sexual abuse of English girls by Asians) to be brought out into the open. He says that the entire apparatus of the state has been afraid to address this issue for fear of being labeled as 'racist'!
Chief Inspector Alan Edwards is to be congratulated for his boldness in calling for these filthy child rapists to be tackled in a far more robust manner, I just wish he had stepped forward sooner, it would no doubt have saved a lot of misery for a lot of innocent young girls.
The inspector says that up until recently everyone has been afraid to talk about this issue, well, I cant help thinking that Telford and Stoke BNP's hard hitting campaign has had something to do with forcing the hand of a very reluctant state. It's also worth pointing out that we in the BNP are not afraid to address any issue that affects our people, we in the BNP will never stand idly by whilst innocents suffer - if that means that we have to offend a few do-gooders then we are only too happy to do so!
Of course our campaign will continue until all of those affected communities in Telford have been made aware of what is happening to young girls in their vicinity!

1. Why is there no call for a major enquiry as there would most certainly be if the victims were not white?

2. Why are the social workers and police implicated in the cover up not charged with aiding and abetting?

3. When the whole of northern England, where the abuse is concentrated, has two elected BNP MEPs why do the police continue with their witch hunt against officers with suspected BNP affiliations?

4. Why do police forces, while enforcing a ban on BNP members, spend £millions in order to attract recruits from the Muslim community?

5. Why is no Islamic spokesman hauled before the television cameras in order to apologise to us?

Top detective blasts 'culture of silence' that allows Asian sex gangs to groom white girls... because police and social services fear of being branded racist

By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 3:08 PM on 5th January 2011

Police and social services were today accused of fuelling a culture of silence which has allowed hundreds of young white girls to be exploited by Asian men for sex.
New figures suggest that an alarmingly high proportion of prosecutions for on-street grooming of girls aged between 11 and 16 have involved men of Pakistani heritage.
Experts claim the statistics represent a mere fraction of a 'tidal wave' of offending in counties across the Midlands and the north of England which has been going on for more than a decade.
On-street grooming: CCTV footage shows Mohammed Romaan Liaqat and Abid Mohammed Saddique, who were jailed last year for a string of sexual offences in Derby, cruising the streets in a BMW

A senior officer at West Mercia police has called for an end to the 'damaging taboo' connecting on-street grooming with race.

Chief Inspector Alan Edwards said: 'These girls are being passed around and used as meat.

'To stop this type of crime you need to start everyone talking about it but everyone's been too scared to address the ethnicity factor.

'No one wants to stand up and say that Pakistani guys in some parts of the country are recruiting young white girls and passing them around their relatives for sex, but we need to stop being worried about the racial complication.'
In a briefing paper, researchers at University College London's Jill Dando Institute of Security and Crime Science concurred that victims were typically white girls while 'most central offenders are Pakistani'.
The offenders were not viewed as paedophiles but had picked the girls 'because of their malleability'.
The report concluded that 'race is a delicate issue' that should be 'handled sensitively but not brushed under the carpet'.

Guilty: Married fathers Mohammed Liaqat (left) and Abid Saddique who were jailed at Leicester Crown Court at the end of last year in one most notorious incidents of grooming young girls

The grooming usually begins with older groups of men befriending girls aged from 11 to 16 they meet on the street.
In a typical scenario, the victim is initially treated as a girlfriend and showered with presents and attention.
But the relationship quickly becomes more sinister as the abuser plies the child with drink and drugs before effectively pimping her out to friends and associates.

The worst cases involve young girls being moved around the country to be repeatedly abused.
Charities and agencies working in conjunction with the police to help victims of sexual abuse in such cases have publicly denied there is a link between ethnicity and the on-street grooming of young girls by gangs and pimps.

But in 17 court cases since 1997 where groups of men were prosecuted, 53 of the 56 people found guilty were Asian, 50 of them Muslim, while just three were white, according to The Times.
The claims come after five Asian men were jailed in November for a total of 32 years for a string of sexual offences against girls aged between 12 and 16 in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
The presiding judge Peter Kelson QC, told the men they were ‘sexual predators’, adding: ‘You had what you regarded as your fun. Now you will take your punishment.
'All five of you were convicted of sexual activity with a child. The clue is in the title: a child.’
Weeks earlier, nine Asian men were jailed for the 'sustained sexual abuse' of a privately-educated schoolgirl who was forced into sex slavery aged 14 after being picked up by a gang in Rochdale, greater Manchester.
Mohammed Shafiq, director of the Lancashire-based Ramadhan Foundation, a charity working for peaceful harmony between different communities, said last year: ‘I think the police are overcautious because they are afraid of being branded racist.
'These men are criminals and should be treated as criminals — whatever their race.’
Former Labour MP Ann Cryer provoked a fierce in 2003 when she said the traditional culture of arranged marriages could have caused a criminal minority of Asian men to target vulnerable young white girls for sex.
The cases of on-street grooming in the UK have borne comparison with incidents in the Netherlands involving young white girl being groomed for prostitution by Moroccan pimps, known as 'loverboys'.
A tri-nation study in Utrecht in 2005 and 2006 involving Barnardo's saw a Dutch women's group attack the 'double moral standards' of offenders who 'guard the chastity of their sisters, but... use other girls for their loverboy practices'.
A project in Blackburn has been established to confront the issue while a report by the Derby safeguarding children board in the wake of the arrests last year said there should be greater consideration of 'whether the ethnic background and culture of the perpetrators had any bearing on their decision to take part in this activity'.
THE ASIAN SEX GANGS WHO PREYED ON VULNERABLE YOUNG GIRLS
NOVEMBER 1997: LEEDS TAXI DRIVERS
Mohammed Naim Rashid, 21, was jailed for seven years and Abid Hussain Sadique, 21, for four by Leeds Crown Court in November 1997.
There were 20 victims, some as young as 12, who had been groomed for sex by a ring of private-hire drivers. They were abused in a room above the taxi office.
APRIL 2006: GANG RAPE IN BLACKPOOL
In a case sparked by the disappearance of Charlene Downes, 14, two illegal immigrants were jailed for the rape of another girl, 16.
Puppy Parmar, 31, was sentenced to seven years and three months while Sandeep Chauhan got six years and five months.
Preston Crown Court heard how the girl and a friend were given alcohol at an Indian restaurant before being taken to an attic and assaulted.  One victim was abused by four men.
Police have never found any trace of Charlene and two men were acquitted of her murder after a jury failed to reach verdicts.

AUGUST 2007: BLACKBURN VICTIMS PASSED ROUND ABUSERS' FAMILIES
A police inquiry into grooming of girls as young as 12 eventually led to the conviction of Zulfqar Hussain, 46, and Qaiser Naveed, 32.
They targeted two 14-year-olds in the care of social services, plying them with drink an drugs before having sex with them in a BMW and a flat.
The victims were also offered to brothers, uncles and friends for sex.
Both were jailed for five years and eight months on charges including abduction, sexual activity with a child and supplying drugs.
OCTOBER 2007 AND JANUARY 2008: 33 VICTIMS AGED 12 TO 15 IN SHEFFIELD
The city's crown court heard how an inquiry was sparked when a number of girls went missing from home.
One 14-year-old was taken for a car ride before being raped.
Failed Iraqi asylum seeker Ayad Mahmood, 35, and Aziz Sabir Hamed, 24, were both given a ten-year sentence.
FEBRUARY 2010: ROCHDALE VICTIM, 16, RAPED BY THREE MEN WHILE FOURTH TOOK PICTURES
Ajmal Afridi, 19, Imitiaz Syed, 20, Tayub Hussain, 19, Mustafa Arshad, 17, and Mohammed Usman Raja, 20, were all jailed for their part in the assault.
The girl was given whisky and possibly sleeping tablets before being raped by Afridi, Syed and Hussain while Arshad took pictures.
She was later found wandering the streets. Raja was jailed for perverting the course of justice.
NOVEMBER 2010: THE DERBY CASE
In one of the most notorious incidents of street grooming to date, nine men were convicted of abusing young girls.
Abid Siddique, 27, Mohammed Liaqat, 28, Mohamed Imran Rehman, 26, Faisal Mehmood, 24, Akshay Kumar, 38, Naweed Liaqat, 33, Farooq Ahmed, 29, Graham Blackham, 26 and Ziafat Yasin, 31, were jailed for their parts in the shocking case.
More than 100 police officers were involved in Operation Retriever, which identified 27 victims, 22 of whom were white.
Siddique and Liaqat targeted their victims on the streets of Derby while driving in a BMW.
They then exchanged number, invited them to parties and fed them drugs and alcohol before handing them to older men for sex.
The abuse, which took place in bushes, cars and houses was filmed for the men to share.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE INCIDENTS IN LEEGOMERY

CRIMINAL DAMAGE INCIDENTS IN LEEGOMERY
Police officers in Telford are investigating following a series of criminal damage incidents in Leegomery. The incidents occurred on Chockleys Meadow on Friday 31st December.
At 7.53pm police received a call from a member of the public stating that a number of men – who appeared to be in their late teens – were hitting vehicles parked on the streets with sticks or wooden poles of some sort.
Police responded to the call immediately but were unable to find the men when they arrived at the scene. However, officers did find that at least three cars had been damaged in this incident with the most significant damage being suffered by a green Ford Focus and a silver Peugeot 307.
Each of these cars had suffered around £500 of damage - dents and scratches - to their bonnet.
Police are currently looking for possible CCTV opportunities in relation to this incident but anyone who believes they may have information it is asked to call police in Telford on 0300 333 3000.
Alternatively, please remember that Crimestoppers can also be called anonymously on 0800 555 111 if you’d rather leave information without getting directly involved yourself.
ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION (RTC)
Police are appealing for witnesses following a non stop RTC in Leegomery. The incident occurred on Friday 31st December.
At around 11.55pm it appears that a vehicle of some sort collided with a black Mazda RX7 that was parked on Aintree Close. The collision caused more than £200 of damage to the off side lights and bumper on the car.
A witness has described the vehicle that collided with the Mazda – which did not stop at the scene – as a Citroen of some sort and that it drove off towards Haygate Road after the collision.
It is likely this car suffered front end damage as a result of this RTC.
Anyone who believes they may have information about this collision is asked to call police in Telford on 0300 333 3000.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
Police are investigating following an attempted burglary on the Hortonwood Industrial Estate. The incident occurred at a business premises on Hortonwood 50 on Saturday 1st January.
Sometime between 4.50pm and 5.40pm it appears that thieves attempted to break into the business unit by cutting a hole in the roller shutter door in the loading bay.
Although the thieves did successfully cut through the door, it appears they were scared off by an alarm activation before they actually broke into the unit as no entry appears to have been gained.
Police believe the offenders used a saw to cut the hole in the door and two men were seen making off from the scene a short time after the alarm was activated.
Police are currently looking for possible CCTV opportunities in relation to this incident but anyone who believes they may have information it is asked to call police in Telford on 0300 333 3000.

Conservative Party Oldham by-Election Meeting (26-12-10)

Didn't you read the small print? Now it's Dave's turn to rub our noses in diversity

Another year begins with another Big Lie exposed. I wonder how many voters foolishly supported David Cameron’s Unconservative Party last May because of his loud claims that he would do something about immigration.
Yet a report from a Left-wing think tank, the IPPR, shows that Mr Cameron must have known perfectly well that his pledge could not be kept. Immigration will not fall this year and may even rise. EU citizens can come and go as they please. Lithuanians and Latvians, and many of our Irish neighbours, will arrive in thousands in search of work, keeping wages low.
We will continue to host hundreds of thousands of overseas students and large numbers of alleged refugees. ‘Family reunions’ will allow many others through supposedly closed doors, from all the parts of the world which have already supplied so many of our new citizens.
The big lie: Prime Minister David Cameron must have known he couldn't keep his election pledge to cut immigration
The big lie: Prime Minister David Cameron must have known he couldn't keep his election pledge to cut immigration
Mr Cameron’s vaunted cap on economic migrants from outside the EU will indeed begin to operate, but this will affect no more than two or three per cent of the immigration total.
So why this gap between claim and reality? First, Mr Cameron could be fairly sure that most voters wouldn’t notice the small print in his pledges. Secondly, we are not considered grown-up enough to discuss the greatest political issue of our time – the steady takeover of our once-independent country by the EU and the colossal implications of this. And no major political party will offer us an exit.

But third, the modernised Tory Party, just like its New Labour twin, actively favours large-scale migration. Rich young careerists in pleasant parts of London – who form the core of all our establishment parties – couldn’t function without the cheap servants and cheap restaurants that immigration brings.
Not for them the other side of immigration – the transformation of familiar neighbourhoods into foreign territory. Not for them the schools where many pupils cannot speak English, and the overloaded public services. Not for them the mosque and the madrassa where the church and the pub used to be. Not that they mind that so much. These people have no special loyalty to this country, nor much love for it.
They are not significantly different from the Blairite apparatchik Andrew Neather, who last year unwisely said openly what such people have long thought privately.
Let me remind you that he spoke of ‘a driving political purpose: that mass immigration was the way that the UK Government was going to make the UK truly multicultural’.
And that he recalled coming away from high-level discussions ‘with a clear sense that the policy was intended – even if this wasn’t its main -purpose – to rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date’.
Well, doesn’t Mr Cameron also like to rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date? I think he does. And of course anyone who complained could be (and always will be) smeared as a ‘bigot’. In fact, the issue long ago ceased having anything to do with skin colour. We have many black and brown Britons who have, over time, become as British as I am – though alas this is less and less the case because the curse of multiculturalism has prevented proper integration, as has the huge size of the recent influx.
And we have many people here with pale northern skins who do not speak our language or share our culture.
Our wealthy urban elite are actively pleased by these changes because they did not like Britain as it was, conservative, Christian, restrained and self-disciplined. They like it as it is, and as it will become. But what about the rest of us?

Maternity meltdown: A devastating firsthand account of the chaos on wards - and why overweight mums are partly to blame

Rising birth rates have left maternity services 'at breaking point', Britain’s leading midwife, Cathy Warwick, warned yesterday. Here, 32-year-old Lizzie Davies, who has worked as an NHS midwife in the Midlands for two years, says conditions are now so bad that she has resigned.
Understaffed: Mothers and babies are being put at risk because maternity wards can't cope with the increased number of births
Understaffed: Mothers and babies are being put at risk because maternity wards can't cope with the increased number of births
When a woman who’s about to give birth has had an epidural, she’s meant to be constantly monitored by a midwife.
It’s an absolute rule because the anaesthesia can cause the mother’s blood pressure to drop, and the baby to become distressed.
But a few weeks ago, I was called to a woman after the anaesthetist had given the epidural.
My heart sank when I realised. What if anything had happened to that baby?
I’ve seen more than a few babies whose heart rate has slowed down after their mother’s epidural.
Not only could it have damaged this particular baby, it could have cost me my registration as a midwife.
Our unit has become so manic that this sort of unsafe practice is becoming too common.
Two years ago, 8-9,000 babies were born each year in our large NHS hospital: now it’s 11,000. In the past six months alone, the number of births has been incredible.
We had 54 babies born in one weekend a few weeks ago, whereas usually it’s around 30.

Unfortunately, we don’t have the midwives to meet this growing demand. Our Trust is short of 40 midwives. It can get to the stage where our unit is full and has no beds free, or there are simply not enough midwives to look after any more women. We then have to close the unit to new admissions for two or three hours to clear the backlog.
The unit gets fined for this, but sometimes there is no choice. Women either have to wait at home, or they have to travel to another unit. A couple of weeks ago, all the units in the area closed and women had to go out of area — a 30-mile drive.

All this means you can’t give every woman the attention she deserves. I am not packing boxes on a factory line — my work is about safely delivering vulnerable babies — but sometimes I think the Government doesn’t realise this.
Instead, when you are with one woman, there are constantly knocks on the door, ‘Can you just …?’ You’re pulled from one room to another, so your mind is always on another woman who you know you haven’t assessed yet and she could need urgent attention.

'We had to resuscitate and transfer a baby to the neonatal unit. Thank God there were two midwives on duty, otherwise he may not have survived'
This makes it very difficult to cope when you have an emergency. The other night, we were stretched even with two midwives and an assistant on duty. All night, women were being admitted to the ward, buzzers were calling, the phone was ringing and beds were being booked.
By 4am, I hadn’t had a tea break, or even a cup of tea, but I needed a wee stop. But even then there was a knock on the loo door. The healthcare assistant told me the other midwife had an emergency, and she needed my help now.
I rushed to the nursery and found the baby unconscious. We had to resuscitate and transfer the baby to the neonatal unit. Thank God there were two midwives on duty, otherwise that baby may not have survived.
It’s the unexpected that can make a situation dangerous. A lot can happen in even ten minutes on a labour ward, and a seemingly uncomplicated labour can suddenly change into something serious, demanding urgent action. That is why it is so stressful to know that you are spreading yourself so thinly.
Added to this, our wards are dealing with ever-more complicated cases, from obese women giving birth, to young teenagers, older women and increasing numbers of immigrants who can’t speak English. These more complicated make up half of our cases but take more of our time.
Don't eat for too: Obese mums-to-be are more likely to suffer complications during and after labour
Don't eat for too: Obese mums-to-be are more likely to suffer complications during and after labour
For every ten women I look after, two or three are immigrants — mainly Eastern European and often very young. We also have many African asylum seekers.
Because you can’t get consent to use drugs or even monitor a woman unless she understands and agrees, it makes things more time-consuming.
We use a website to print off information in their language, which helps, and we can use a telephone translation service for crucial points in labour.
But we can’t use it all the time, because it’s very expensive, so we get by using odd words and acting out scenarios, using mime. It’s not ideal, and takes a lot longer.
Then there are the obese women. Around one in ten of our cases is dangerously obese, with a body mass index of over 35.
Because they are so obese, it makes it difficult to listen to the baby’s heartbeat. We can’t pick up contractions because the monitor is a long way from uterus.
They also tend to have bigger babies, which makes delivery more difficult and intervention more likely. Obese women are also more likely to need intensive care following surgery, because they tend to lose more blood and are more prone to infections and wound breakdown.
Another one in ten of our cases is aged 16-18. They need special attention because they’re at risk of having underweight and premature babies.
There are also the older mums (over 40) — about one in 20 cases are in this group. We have to spend more time with them because they, too, are at risk of problematic pregnancies and early births.
Women who are at ‘high risk’ — perhaps because they have diabetes — also take up more of our time.
As a result, women who are ‘low risk’ can get overlooked. It’s not unheard of for women to come into hospital and give birth without a midwife even being present.
Woman going to a hairdressers get more one-to-one attention than those giving birth, even though having babies is a far more serious business!
This lack of one-to-one support means women are less able to cope with pain: they are more likely to request epidurals, which then leads to more assisted (such as ventouse) and Caesarean deliveries — and more of our time.
Other side-effects of this constant treadmill is a higher incidence of postnatal depression. Women end up going home very quickly — they are in and out within 24 hours, and usually just two to four hours after they have delivered.

'Women who are "low risk" can get overlooked. It’s not unheard of for women to come into hospital and give birth without a midwife even being present'
While most mums want to get home as soon as they can, others would prefer to stay longer; unable to access the help they need can trigger depression.
All these extra pressures take their toll. Morale is low among my colleagues as everyone is tired.
For months, I’ve been asking to reduce my hours. I work full-time and have three school-age children. My family complain that when they see me I’m either looking exhausted, or in my uniform about to go to work. Sometimes, I feel so mentally exhausted I worry that I make mistakes.
I love my job, but in the past few weeks the pressure has just got too much and I’ve handed in my notice. It’s the only way I can keep my sanity. I hate the way my standards of care are being compromised.
But the last straw was my holiday leave. I gave the hospital four months’ notice that I wanted to take a couple of weeks off with my family, but found out only recently that my request has been refused. I haven’t felt so angry for years.
It came down to choosing between my job, my health and my kids. Something had to give — so I have resigned.
And this week I got confirmation, if I needed it, that I have done exactly the right thing. My daughter was in an accident and broke a limb, so I phoned in to cancel work that night so I could look after her: after all, without sleep it wouldn’t be safe for me to work a night shift.
But the senior midwife told me I still had to come in — she was desperate for staff. In the end, I had no choice but to work.
I definitely don’t want to give up midwifery, but I’m now thinking of becoming a private midwife, where I’ll be respected for the skills I’ve worked hard to gain and where I can give women the care and the time they deserve.
They are certainly not guaranteed that in the NHS.
Lizzie's name has been changed.

White Teenager Murdered In A Racist Attack By An Asian Gang

New Year and a Firm Resolve

It's the beginning of a new year and Shropshire British National Party organisers call for strength and unity. Man's greatest weaknesses are driven by the ego, and acquisition of power and wealth so often smother all thoughts of providing a bright future for our children.

To achieve the kind of success which BNP members desire takes a special kind of determination; the adoption of a 'super-personal' philosophy where the superficial wants and needs of the individual are replaced by a sense of doing what's right for our land and people.

So many times we see the hearts and minds of once good activists become twisted by the desire for personal glory at the expence of the 'theod', an ancient word referring to a closely affiliated people, akin to an extended family.

Shropshire BNP organisers are, however, unified in condemming such ego-driven desires, and vow to stand firm in the face of adversity.

Today's fashion is to chase material wealth whatever the cost, however as with all fashions both popular and political, change is never far away.

 - Cllr Phil Reddall

Our local organisers would like to wish readers a happy new year, and we leave you with the words of a good friend of ours...

"We either pull together and unite against our common enemies, in so doing presenting a truly formidable opponent or we descend into an undisciplined, egotistically-driven rabble. To me the choice is very simple and thankfully the vast majority reading this will agree. Our future is still in our own hands, all it will take is the collective right frame of mind. The other attributes and tools required are already available courtesy of our ancestors."

Thousands of hospital beds will be axed in a £20billion purge, the boss of the NHS has admitted for the first time.

                                                     NHS chief executive David Nicholson
Sir David Nicholson was warning MP's about the impact of the NHS' biggest-ever shake-up. He said: It has never been done before on this scale.
The NHS chief executive said: That does mean reducing the number of beds and the number of staff. He expressed his fears despite Prime Minister David Cameron's pledge that frontline services will be safe despite the disruption. Fewer beds will mean longer waiting times for patients and GP's will be unwilling to refer patients for operations if there are no beds for them.
Ministers are ending Labour's health targets which means the 18-week maximum wait for in-hospital treatment will no longer be guaranteed.
Waits in A&E will also increase as staff phone round looking for beds in other hospitals if they have none free.
NHS trusts are already drafting plans to scrap beds and even entire wards.
Two mental health wards are to go at the Lancashire NHS Trust, with the loss of 36 beds, and the Mid Yorks Trust is to lose elderly medical care beds. At the North West London NHS Trust 95 beds are earmarked for closure, another 33 will go at London's Newham Hospital.
Sir David told the Commons Health Committee a quarter of everything the NHS does is now up for grabs as he reorganises the health service.
But he said more patients with long-term conditions would be treated in their own homes or care homes rather than in hospital.
He added: Every penny saved must be reinvested in front line services and improving quality.
Committee member Labour's Grahame Morris added: Cuts will lead to fewer beds and even the closure of hospitals. This must impact on patients. They will face longer waits for operations and in A&E. The Royal College of Nursing predict 26,841 doctors and nurses will go over the next five years.
Its an urban myth that the NHS is being protected, said RCN chief Dr Peter Carter. And the British Medical Association told The People: If beds are cut its hard to see how patient care will not be affected.
But earlier this year the think tank Reform said 32,000 of the nations 160,000 hospital beds should be scrapped to save money. And it predicted London, the North East and North West were on course to lose a quarter of their beds.
