CRIMINAL DAMAGE INCIDENTS IN LEEGOMERY
Police officers in Telford are investigating following a series of criminal damage incidents in Leegomery. The incidents occurred on Chockleys Meadow on Friday 31st December.
At 7.53pm police received a call from a member of the public stating that a number of men – who appeared to be in their late teens – were hitting vehicles parked on the streets with sticks or wooden poles of some sort.
Police responded to the call immediately but were unable to find the men when they arrived at the scene. However, officers did find that at least three cars had been damaged in this incident with the most significant damage being suffered by a green Ford Focus and a silver Peugeot 307.
Each of these cars had suffered around £500 of damage - dents and scratches - to their bonnet.
Police are currently looking for possible CCTV opportunities in relation to this incident but anyone who believes they may have information it is asked to call police in Telford on 0300 333 3000.

ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION (RTC)
Police are appealing for witnesses following a non stop RTC in Leegomery. The incident occurred on Friday 31st December.
At around 11.55pm it appears that a vehicle of some sort collided with a black Mazda RX7 that was parked on Aintree Close. The collision caused more than £200 of damage to the off side lights and bumper on the car.
A witness has described the vehicle that collided with the Mazda – which did not stop at the scene – as a Citroen of some sort and that it drove off towards Haygate Road after the collision.
It is likely this car suffered front end damage as a result of this RTC.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY
Police are investigating following an attempted burglary on the Hortonwood Industrial Estate. The incident occurred at a business premises on Hortonwood 50 on Saturday 1st January.
Sometime between 4.50pm and 5.40pm it appears that thieves attempted to break into the business unit by cutting a hole in the roller shutter door in the loading bay.
Although the thieves did successfully cut through the door, it appears they were scared off by an alarm activation before they actually broke into the unit as no entry appears to have been gained.
Police believe the offenders used a saw to cut the hole in the door and two men were seen making off from the scene a short time after the alarm was activated.

THEFT
Police in Telford are appealing for information following a theft in Donnington. The incident occurred at an address on Lawndale sometime between 9am on Friday 31st December 2010 and 1.30pm on Monday 3rd January 2011.
Sometime during the time period in question it appears that thieves entered the rear garden at the address and stole a number of garden ornaments.
In total almost 40 ornaments were stolen including a 12inch terracotta owl, 2 fairies, 6 tortoises out of a set of 8 and 2 rabbits out of a set of 3.
The stolen items are thought to be worth more than £250.
