Speaking about this campaign, local
organiser councillor Phil Reddall said,
“Shropshire Branch are planning numerous
days of action in Oswestry in the weeks leading up to Christmas. We intend to
ensure local residents are made aware of the plans submitted by Oswestry Muslim
Society. We will be leafleting the area and speaking to residents and shoppers.
Also a press release is being prepared.
“I believe this application has been
carefully timed to catch local people unawares as they prepare for the festive
period. Furthermore, the word ‘Mosque’ has been deliberately omitted in this
‘softly-softly’ approach towards the gradual colonisation of Oswestry.”
Shropshire Branch would like to make it
clear that in order to oppose planning applications for Muslim Prayer Centres
and Mosques, leafleting and days of action are only a part of what must be
done.
Objections must be submitted in
significant numbers to the Planning Department.
Most if not all local authorities advise
that objections are best submitted online.
It
is important to note that any comments made online appear in the Public Domain
and objections will only be taken into account if they refer to planning
matters. There is absolutely no point on commenting on religious or ethnic
grounds per se, and comments must be well considered before posting. Valid
comments might include concerns over parking or noise.

Oswestry has a good old English hertage, it has kept the story of St Oswald's King and Martyr. There is a Church named after him offers a warm welcome. The Chruch is the Town Centre of Oswestry, and has been a place of worship for almost 1000 years. St Oswald’s is a living Christian community. We can not have a Mosque in this town, too many already have been built all over England. Engand is a Christian country with our Queen at the head of the Anglican Chruch. We can not allow another town to become Muslim orintated. Christians are being killed in Muslim countries for their faith to this day. We need to take a stand against this growing community. NO to this being built in Oswestry

DeleteIf you look at the history and study the Islamic history of Spain (Al-Andalusia) it was the Muslims who introduced Science to Europe in the dark ages in the city of Cordoba. Where Muslims, Jews and Christians worked together and Muslims gave Jews and Christians freedom of religion and from there onwards it was Europe that learnt tolerance towards other religions when at a time Christians of Europe used to oppress the Jews.
Religion has nothing to do with the wars. It is down to greed.
Another thing is, the Quran does not permit Muslims to lie. Lying is a sign of a Hypocrite and definitely this lie is invented by bigots who want to demonize Islam.
I don't think any of you have studied the Quran, Hadith and the commentary to be able to understand the Quran. There's 100's of verses in the Quran that talk about the 'liars and deceivers'...so why would it encourage lying? I'm afraid it is down to ignorance.
and what about Taqiyya? No usually the Quran refers to liers as being non-Muslims.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the wars between Muslims themselves, such as Iran-Iraq with around 1.5 million dead? Look at the Muslim on Muslim attacks in Iraq.
Al-Andus wasn't beautiful either as the Jews & Christians were still Dhiminis and had little freedoms due to Sharia law. So Islam is so tolerant, can you explain the killing of Christians in their hundreds of thousands in the 20th century, in Syria, in Turkey, in Iraq? I doubt very much that you'll explain it coherently or rationally.
There is a lot of ignorance around, so how about reading up a bit more on why there are many who distrust Islam and learn
