North Shropshire British National Party held its Christmas social at a warm, friendly venue in Market Drayton, reports local organiser Phil Reddall.
A number of members and new enquirers enjoyed a drink and buffet during a relaxed evening where Mr. Reddall explained how the Party was moving forwards in the town.
"We're not just a political organisation, we're a cultural movement," Mr. Reddall said. "It's important to show people who we really are, because when people realise they've been lied to by their elected politicians and the mass media machine, the electorate will become very angry indeed."
A new enquirer complemented Mr. Reddall's point, by saying how nervous he'd felt before attending a BNP meeting for the first time, yet his worries were completely unfounded after meeting ordinary local members.

Market Drayton folk always strike me as being very honest and down to earth - hence a good place for the British National Party to really sink roots.
